Sox Fever!!!

As we all know, the Chicago White Sox have been in the World Series. And we have been in Chicago. It has been CRAZY in the city these past few weeks and tonight just got ten times crazier. When the Sox won tonight, the city went wild. We looked outside our window, which overlooks bar alley right outside our apartment. People were running outside the bars, cheering, screaming, yelling, jumping, etc. The police had actually blocked the entire street earlier this evening in case the Sox won. It was a good thing since there now is a mob down there. Now, at least 45 minutes after the Sox' victory, there is still cheering and shouting. People are honking their car horns; there are sirens, cops everywhere, and I repeat...tons of honking. I don't know if I will be able to sleep in this noise! I even hear helicopters circling overhead. We saw newsreporters and cameramen down with the mobs, so all these bars with their drunk, ecstatic people will probably be on TV. It is so crazy, yet kind of exciting to be in the city for this event.
